There's Gold in Them Thar DVDs

If you have been collecting DVDs as long as I have, you probably have several that you have not watched (or even remember that you own) in a long time. In an ongoing effort to lose what I don't use, I have posted a number of these titles for sale on ebay recently. To my amazement, some of the titles that have gone out of print are in such demand that the final winning bids are upwards of 300 percent of the original purchase price. A quick way to see if you are sitting on a potential nugget or gold mine, is to do a title search on amazon.com. Out of print items are often listed by outside resellers with a wide range of prices. While there's no guarantee that your item will actually sell for big bucks, you can always place a reserve price to keep it from being the hidden bargain for someone else. This "golden" rule can certainly also apply to books and other items too. Happy selling.
